LOu kyme

In the depths of a council estate on the edge of Southampton, England, something usual was brewing. Pete, a local musician, came to the conclusion the only way out, was through love of music. Bringing his kids up, not on the sounds of Southampton, but somewhere further afield – a land of Hank Williams, Merle Travis, Fats Domino, Patsy Cline, Carl Perkins, and forming a family band – the Okeh Wranglers. Fortune did not come as he had hoped, and 10 years, 6 albums later, the family band disbanded no further from where they had started. But fate sometimes goes that way.

Twenty years on, after a life lived, and on a pilgrimage to the alter of the Continental Club, Austin TX, second oldest daughter, Louise, found Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express. The stars aligned, friendships formed, mixed experiences merged, and out of an unknown place, somewhere between Texas, Hampshire and California, ‘What’s The Worst That Can Happen’ was born.
